Likes: Her six week old kitten Artemis, Greek mythology, ice cream, the colors pink, black and silver, wand-based school subjects (Charms, DADA, Transfiguration), people who treat her nicely

History: Alexandra's father is Liam Donovan, an Auror working for the Ministry, and the son of a fairly well-off pureblood family in Ireland. When he was just starting out as an Auror, he traveled to France on a mission, and met Sophia Leandros, a young witch visiting a school friend, and they fell in love. Even though they were only 19 and 17 years old respectively, Sophia chose to leave her family behind in Greece to be with Liam, and they got married and settled in England, so he could continue his career.
About a year after their marriage, Sophia found out she was pregnant, just as Liam was having to deal with a lot of enemies because of his work. So, fearing for his wife and unborn child, he convinced Sophia to travel back to Greece to live with her parents until he was certain they would be safe, or at least as certain as he thought he could be. She did, and gave birth to Alexandra there. Liam came to visit them as often as he could, and they ended up staying there until Lexi was six, when her grandparents died, one not long after the other. Sophia had gotten their house as part of her inheritance, but she really wanted her daughter to be able to experience her father's world as well. So she talked to her husband, and he worked things out so he could be reasonably certain his family would be safe back in England, even though he knew he still had enemies out there.
The little family returned to England, and settled in a house that Liam had made sure to protect with a Fidelius Charm, and little Lexi was carefully watched whenever she was allowed outside the safe zone of the charm. Even with those limitations, she managed to grow up fairly normally, and when time came around for her to attend Hogwarts, Liam agreed to let her, as long as the professors made sure she was safe. And a couple years into her schooling, she even was allowed to skip a year, because her grades were good enough. And this year, when she got her letter and was told she was being made prefect, she was given Artemis as a gift.

Renée Bishop
Name: Renée Arabella Bishop
Gender: Female
Age: 24
Birthday: November 27
Place of Birth: London, England
Blood/Lineage: Pureblood, English/American
Position: Hogwarts Staff
Class Taught/Shop Run: Librarian
Description:
Renée has long dark hair, that is naturally wavy, but sometimes she straightens it, and dark brown eyes, that can look intelligent or mischievous, depending on how she is feeling at the moment. She is slender, about 130 pounds, and stands at 5 feet 7 inches tall.Personality: Renée is very personable and open, willing to talk to people and listen to them, and she likes making new friends and acquaintances. At times, however, she can look serious, when she's trying to decipher something about someone. But at other times, her mischievous side comes out, and she's likely to do something silly, pull a prank, something like that. She tries her hardest to fit into English society, but since she had an unusual upbringing, sometimes she has difficulties.
Likes: Art, books, plants, open spaces, animals (especially her pets, a phoenix named Anastasia and a crup puppy named Bowie)
Dislikes: People who disrespect her or any of her passions (especially those involving her library), being unable to see the outside world.
History: Renée was born the eldest daughter of Geoffrey Bishop, a English publisher of Wizarding books, and Anneliese Edwards, an American actress and witch. Geoffrey had met Anneliese when she had traveled to London to take part in a play on the West End, and quickly fell in love with the beautiful young actress. Thankfully for him, she reciprocated, and they got married a year after they first met. She chose to settle in England for a while, not wanting her new husband to have to move just so she would be happy, and besides, she could find work just as easily there as she could back in New York. Anneliese got pregnant a few years after her marriage, and gave birth to her daughter in England.
However, when Renée was four years old, her mother got the chance to star in a Broadway play, and since she was getting a little tired of England, Anneliese went to Geoffrey and asked if they could travel to America. He agreed, able to work for his publishing firm prety much anywhere he needed to, and the small family moved to New York. Renée was placed in an exclusive school, once she turned six, where she managed to cultivate many of her skills and likes. Except for one; she had been born with the magical ability of Legilimency, passed down from her father's side, although he himself didn't have the skill, nor did her immediate grandparents. So she was essentially left on her own to figure out how to deal with it, which she managed to do through books.
When she was 10 years old, her brother Sebastian was born, which Renée wasn't entirely sure about. Her parents, especially her mother, had been busy before, leaving her on her own a lot (Although she had still developed a strong affection for them), and after her brother's birth, much of their attention shifted. And, considering she got her letter to Hogwarts a year after that, her own interaction with Sebastian was limited to school holidays and the like.
At Hogwarts, Renée was sorted into Ravenclaw, which nobody really found strange, given her propensity of immersing herself in books when she wasn't trying to find ways to get into trouble. Using her legilimancy, as well as the fact that nobody expected the little bookworm to be a troublemaker, she got away with most of the things she did. And the rest of her time was spent holed up in the common room, the library, or out in the grounds, writing short stories and other little fanciful things, when she wasn't doing homework.
She did well on all her exams, getting 11 OWLs and 9 NEWTs, and after graduation, she chose to travel Europe for a while, visiting both Wizarding and Muggle museums, and other interesting places, and acquiring Anastasia. But when she turned twenty, her mother died in a freak accident at the theater she had been acting in, and Renée was forced to cut her travels short to return to New York and help her father and brother deal with the loss.
While she was there, she channeled her excess energy into writing, and wrote her first novel, a Wizarding crime/mystery novel loosely based on the circumstances of her mother's death. She chose to seek out a publisher other than her father, wanting to avoid accusations of nepotism, and after publication, her book became moderately successful. Enough that her publisher asked her to write another one, making the book into the start of a series. She wanted something more, though, and after making sure her little brother was doing well in a Wizarding school in New York, and her father was okay as well, she traveled back to England. She moved into a little flat, writing her second book at the same time she was trying to send out feelers for another job, and when she found out Hogwarts was looking for a librarian, she jumped at the chance, packing up her belongings, as well as Anastasia and Bowie, who she had gotten shortly before accepting the job, and traveling to the castle.
